I am an enthusiastic MSci (Hons) Zoology graduate from the University of Nottingham. I have a particular interest in animal behaviour and ecology, UK and international biodiversity conservation, invasive species ecology and the importance of effective scientific communication.I have completed two research projects whilst at University:The prevalence of avian malaria in UK Columbid species (Columba palumbus, Streptopelia decaocto and Columba oenas) and the impact of infection on body condition and immunological response.The effect of personality, sex and predation risk on the ideal free distribution of black dump flies (Hydrotaea aenescens).During my time at University I gained experience in statistical analysis, scientific communication (including grant proposal and report writing), laboratory research and public speaking. I regularly volunteered and assisted with fundraising events for Anthony Nolan and fulfilled the role of social media officer for Out in Education, a non-for-profit which tackles homophobia and promotes LGBT+ awareness in schools.
