Over the summer I worked as a Mechanical Engineering intern for Intuitive Machines in Houston, Texas. During my internship I did thermal analysis for their lunar lander mission as well as planned and detailed an upcoming thermal vacuum test. Throughout the summer I had the opportunity to learn how to model and run simulations through Thermal Desktop and analyze the results to make sure all components were within expected temperature ranges given different thermal environments. All results were documented in excel and communicated to the rest of the thermal team to decide if additional thermal protection methods were needed to heat or cool specific subsystems.
