The aim of 'Connecting Opportunities' is to help refugees and migrants to find work, study, and feel more connected to where they live.Set up a Befriending activities programme from scratch, which has been accessed by over 200 clients.Provide support and supervision to over 50 volunteers on the project, deliver regular volunteer training sessions and facilitate volunteer peer support groups.

Consulted on the development of a Yorkshire Coast Business Improvement District. Consulted with 1300 business owners and managers, as well as residents and community groups, on the Yorkshire Coast about the challenges and opportunities for the area. Helped to develop a Business Plan, with potential solutions that could enhance, protect, promote the Yorkshire Coast, and support tourism businesses to flourish. Acted as an Ambassador for the Yorkshire Coast BID, encouraging a wide range of stakeholders to see the benefits of the project, and resulting in widespread support for the Yorkshire Coast BID.

Supervised a team of 5 students on a volunteering project in Lepushe, Albania. Supported planning, preparation, and fundraising. Worked with Balkans Peace Park Project (B3P) to run a two week summer school in August 2017, which included asset-based workshops with young people around tourism development, teaching conversational English and sports development activities for residents. Also undertook stakeholder engagement to support B3P in their research into the main challenges in the area. Set up and ran a volunteering brokerage service which I marketed across the university and online, and provided ongoing support and supervision to student volunteers.
