In the spring semester of 2020, I held the role of teaching apprentice for Dr. Michele Leiby's Introduction to Comparative Politics course. This class teaches students the basic elements of government, regime type, and voting methods, among many other topics relevant to politics around the world. Additionally, students are taught the basic research methods which pertain to comparative analysis research projects. In my role, I held weekly open office hours, provided feedback on student engagement via email, grades reading quizzes and taught a class session on research methods.

As a Career Planning Peer Advisor, I hold open office hours to help students of all backgrounds, ages, majors, and experiences create and craft resumes. I work closely with the APEX Career Planning department at the College of Wooster. In this role, I have also led the team of peer advisors in creating new projects and sharing feedback with our boss.

As the department assistant, I work directly with Wooster's Political Science and History Administrative Coordinator and the Political Science department chair. I am the lead person in charge of creating pamphlets and event posters, emailing students department updates, assisting professors with daily tasks and coordinating different events throughout the department and campus. This experience has led me to excel in my understanding of Microsoft Office, Canva, and various other office tasks.

In the fall semester of 2019, I served as a teaching assistant for Professor Kent Kille's Peace Studies class. This upper-level Political Science class requires research, writing, and critical reading and thinking skills. In my role as a teaching assistant, I held office hours to answer student questions, edited drafts of papers and helped students understand complicated reading assignments. Additionally, I led a class session to teach the class about the peace tool of "reconciliation".

I worked at Houlihan's Restuarant as a host. I interact with servers, managers, and customers to provide an enjoyable dining experience. I work to balance the requests of all those whom I interact with, and this job has taught me time management, crisis management, and improved my ability to problem solve.

I work directly with WIMSA's Program and Research Associate to create engaging and interactive content for viewers of the Women's Memorial's social media. I create graphics, historical posts and interact with followers on a daily basis. I have been able to excel in my skills with Google Drive, Canva, Hootsuite and Microsoft Office.

In my experience as an APEX Ambassador, I work with a group three other students, guided by two APEX staff advisors. APEX is a unique part of Wooster, which aims to assist students both in academic learning as well as career planning for the future. The APEX Ambassador program, which began in 2017, is a way for the assets of APEX to be spread to different student groups on campus. My role in this program is to give presentations to groups on campus, working with students to notify them of what kinds of expectations and requirements employers are often looking for.

Assisted Professor Angela Bos during the 2018 spring semester with her research looking at gender and political socialization among elementary and middle school-aged children. This experience allowed me to advance my skills in data analysis and coding. Working alongside Professor Bos was a great way for me to learn more and become involved in the politics that affect our daily lives, even as children.
