I always thought my dream was to become a lawyer like my grandfather, who has been my biggest role model. From a young age, I had become aware how the court room was a symbol of justice in our government. As my journey began to become a lawyer, I started my BA in Political Science at the University of Arkansas. Sophomore year I was inquired to do an independent study researching a change in Justice Kavanaugh's eyeblinks between two of his Senate Confirmation hearings. The excitement of this project led to my newfound love of nonverbal communication in politicians. My skills are what specialize me in research. I excel in individualization. I found my niche with micro-expressions, such as eyeblinks, but it is just a piece of the puzzle of nonverbal communication. My findings and research work with other specializations in the field, and I have a gift for identifying how people can work together to achieve the most. I am an activator. I constantly turn my ideas into goals to achieve them. I am a life-long learner of nonverbal communication in political science. The field of nonverbal communication and political science is new and developing very quickly. My research and analysis leads to more research and analysis which is a constant cycle of learning. I am an arranger to the fullest. I am flexible with schedules, but I plan every detail of the day as well. This skill allows me to arrange schedules to create the maximum productivity rate. Finally I am strategic. Research is an area where there is not a definite right or wrong answer. Every paper I complete, it is in the mindset that this research will aid me in my next paper. Politicians like to think that they hold the fate of the government in their hands. However a master in the art of nonverbal communication, can pick up on their ques and identify more information than they might tell. My skills and continuous research in this field makes me a valuable asset as I have learned to come at a problem from unique angles.
