About Emily Stroble
I am passionate about the college student experience. My diverse background in Japanese, costuming, music, and disability inclusion help me identify with students in unique and exciting ways. With years of experience as a learner and educator in higher education, I hold a passion for teaching others how to best serve students. Making content accessible, inclusive, and creative is a lifelong goal. When I can give someone the tools they need to succeed, their success becomes my own. Current Research Project: "How Many Licks Does It Take...?" Helping students with disabilities reach the Tootsie Roll center of the Tootsie Pop. Presented at 2024 Webster Teaching Festival, to be developed further.Notable Past Projects include:Focus on Teaching and Technology Conference: AI & Assistive Technology: Making Tech Inclusive8th Annual Webster DEI Conference: Best Practices in a Neurodiverse WorldM.A in East Asian Studies, with thesis focused on Japan at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis.
