About Emily Talbott
Electrical Engineer with a knack for doing the impossible. When I was five years old I began tinkering on electronic projects alongside my dad in our family home's garage. Our first creation together was a simple FM radio we built atop a 3/4" piece of plywood which we used to listen to local baseball games. Since then my love of both baseball and electronic systems have grown. This admiration and passion for "tinkering" continued into my education at Colorado School of Mines. Here, there were far more resources available to me and many more like minded individuals. I studied higher mathematics, principles of engineering, controls systems design, all with the same curiosity that drove me as a kid. It was at Mines that I also discovered my love for producing live events through leading the production of the annual E-Days concerts. Upon graduation from Mines I sought to combine my interests of live entertainment with my degree in Electrical Engineering. For the past 5 years I have worked at TAIT as a Controls Integrator, dazzling audiences around the globe with automation in entertainment applications. I have worked in tandem with clients ranging from concert touring to theme park attraction installation. This spectrum has produced its fair share of unique challenges, but I enjoy solving problems in an extremely fast paced environment. Whether it's flying a performer for a world tour or developing new technology for the latest theme park, I'm always game to tackle a new challenge.
