I’m a structural steel detailer and modeler at LEA Detailing Co in Evansville, IN. My great-grandfather, Larry E Appel, founded LEADCO in 1974. I basically grew up in the family business and started learning the ropes right out of high school, under my fathers wing. I have almost 10 years of experience working on SDS2 software. I’ve taken online courses to receive certification through AISC and SDS2. I’ve gained most of my knowledge in the field through work experience; the best teacher!
