Cost Accountant
Current• Responsible for AmTopp plants acquired under Inteplast, mainly BOPP Films.• Perform month-end closings within one day, and prepare cost reports, including accurate and complete finalization of analysis work, and Management Performance Reports for top management on the closing day. • Perform year-end closing process. Process expense transfer and correction, maintain cost tables.• Maintain and cost related accounts for up to 3 plants, including performing up to 4 bank reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure all the cost data is accurate and under the correct account in AS/400.• Maintain major accrual balances based on each month.• Prepare year-end audit documents for Auditor: meet auditor requests to ensure our accounting policies match back to GAAP. Assist with year-end audit review as it relates to physical inventory count, RM Price Testing, and financial audits including revenue, and accounts payable.• Process material adjustments, inventory adjustments, scrap adjustments, AR adjustments, AP batches for pre-authorized payments, credit/debit memos, and purchase requisition approvals.• Prepare tax information such as Sales and Use Tax reports for Tax Department.• Perform payment processing: credit card, intercompany payment, and purchase payments.• Perform other duties or special projects as directed including assisting with Accounts Payable work and bi-weekly payroll processing.
