I recently completed a Master of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a concentration in Health Behavior. After finishing my Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Healthcare Studies at the University of Richmond, my interest in structural and behavioral determinants of health brought me to UNC. Particular areas of interest include substance use, stigmatized health behaviors, health equity, implementation science, and rural community health.As a graduate student, I completed coursework in subjects such as qualitative and quantitative research methods, program planning and evaluation, intervention design, and statistical methods. I have research experience in emergency medicine, implementation science, and substance use disorders. I now have a role in Public Health Informatics, working to enhance disease surveillance. In my life beyond work, I love live music, hazelnut lattes, hiking with my dog, and audiobooks.
