I am currently studying a Bachelor's of Nursing at Griffith University with a strong aspiration to pursue further education within a Doctor of Medicine to then enter into Neurosurgery.Upon entering into the medical and health science fields, I developed deep interest and passion for these areas. The interest is founded on my desire to assist people in achieving a healthier and happier life; thus, a career in the health professions of dietetics and medicine would be fulfilling.I have confidence that I possess the following skills and strengths- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is evident through articles I have written for local newspapers and my previous role as a UQ Science Ambassador. • Proven ability to operate within a team, within all roles, with a wide variety of work situations, which is demonstrated by my current occupation as a pharmacy assistant. • Ability to provide and follow instructions. This is demonstrated by my university studies, current work in a busy pharmacy and past roles as a state sports captain and school captain.Due to these experiences and skills attained, my capabilities for taking initiative and problem-solving in situations which require adaptability are strong. Additionally, teamwork has been a foundation skill for numerous roles I have undertaken, including volunteer work, pharmacy workplace, and university placement tasks. I believe communication skills are one of the most crucial indispensable skills one can attain as effectively relaying information between the involved parties ensures an efficient team, task, workplace and provides an optimal learning environment. It is my intent to acquire and refine the indispensable skills required to undertake work as a health professional.
