Working nationally to support the Security Coordinator to deliver security equipment solutions for Sainsbury's. Maintaining all the budgetary and reactive expenditure supporting the National Security Equipment Specialist and the Sainsbury's Crime and Security Team. Liaising closely with third party contractors to ensure work is planned and delivered to the correct standard and specification then completed and invoiced timely. Having a good all round knowledge of current crime and security landscape for retail enables me to look at solutions with a risk based approach when working collaboratively with Sainsbury's colleagues and third party contractors..

Daily preparation, delivery of mail and parcels including driving.

Working predominantly in the Manchester area to engage, support and coach regional and store teams across multi-sites and formats to deliver key performance indicators. Promoting operational excellence in conjunction with the most current process and procedure.  Supported a corporate cost saving and improved process compliance and commercial awareness in stores by facilitating the design and implementation of Process Support Toolkits to replace classroom based training.  Delivered a £1 million year on year saving on Counters total stock loss by identifying process and procedural breakdowns and then re-educating the stores in the North in collaboration with the Fresh Foods Business Support Managers. Engaged, supported and coached underperforming stores with process and compliance issues by conducting frequent operational reviews to identify root causes. Providing action plans, feedback and reports where relevant to Senior Management to ensure sustainable results. Analysed store and company data weekly to manage work load and risks. Monitoring the performance of sites against key performance indicators namely stock-loss and cash loss and in addition any procedural changes which had been introduced.

Working flexibly across the North Zone, accountable for the implementation of the Profit Protection Strategy across multi-sites and formats. Supporting regional teams and external partners to drive sustained financial improvements and embed process and procedural compliance.  Improved store profitability corporately by refreshing and designing classroom based training workshops to cover Total Loss, Security and Cash Loss. Equipping store colleagues with the information to achieve prescribed budgets. Led a project to support small stores performing over 1% for shrink in the North. Designed to increase commercial awareness within the area and store teams enabling them to deliver improved standards and results. Gained an Advanced Certificate in Investigative Practice (APCIP) BTEC Level 7 to support the business with comprehensive investigations and reports following serious incidents.

Accountable for the implementation of the Profit Protection Strategy across Convenience Areas in the South West of England and the East and West Midlands. Supported stores with my expertise in security, colleague safety and security guarding. Managing the third party contract with the security guarding provider to ensure the service level agreement and cover requirements were achieved.  An avid investigator and reporter of serious incidents and crimes that affected the business. Built strong relationships with external bodies, Police and the Crown Prosecution Service to ensure desired outcomes were reached. Coordinated the handover of the security equipment installed into new sites between the security installers and the security systems maintenance and monitoring company. Ensuring new sites were a safe place to work and shop for colleagues and customers.  Improved colleague knowledge and capability through coaching and supporting them to deliver their stock loss, waste, cash and safe and legal targets. Using judgment and influence to advise on the correct corporate policy, procedure and process.

Implemented a new stock control system across all store formats followed by the conversion of acquisition convenience stores to the Sainsbury's model.  Delivered classroom based workshops to colleagues, managers and senior managers prior to stores 'go live' or conversions. Provided in store support at the point of 'go live' or conversion to positively promote the changes and ensure the transition went smoothly.

Accountable for the running of both Administration and Customer Service Departments in various Supermarkets across South Cheshire and Staffordshire. Main achievements included people management and development of teams up to 60 in size. Time, labour and cost budget management through Profit and Loss analysis. Great leadership, role modeling, excellent communication skills and customer service experience.
