Hi, my name is Emily and here's a little info about me, I've attended the University of Toronto Mississauga where I studied and earned a BA in English and Professional Writing and Communication. I've always loved reading and storytelling growing up so why not study it right? Throughout my undergraduate studies I learned and practiced both in and outside of the classroom writing, copy/content/style editing, and how to write for a wide range of topics such as science, finance, enivronment, creative nonfiction and more. I have used both Google Drive and MS Office programs to write and edit all of my writing. My favourite thing to write about is fiction. Recently, I am volunteered as Associate Editor-in-Chief for University of Toronto Mississauga's "With Caffeine and Careful Thought", a student-run journal that publishes the creative prose, poetry, essays, and illustrations of the students and alumni. I assisted the Editor-in-Chief with reading submissions, drafting emails, supporting contributors, editing, and more. Some of the things I enjoy doing are reading and writing (of course), and visual art. I love drawing, it has always been a hobby and passion of mine since I was a kid. I love realism and drawing portraits as realistic as possible. I often draw portraits of my favourite characters from different T.V. shows and upload them to social media. I am currently looking for job roles in editing/copy editing and entry level writing postions in article writing and technical writing.
