In my role as AVP, Manager of Talent Development, I lead the team responsible for our leadership development efforts. That includes the design and execution of five unique programs for high-potential team members. We focus on understanding our internal current and future business needs, while keeping an eye on current trends and topics about leadership, so that these programs are impactful for individuals as well as the broader organization.

- Responsible for the management of pre-planning logistics through delivery of a comprehensive portfolio of over 15-20 Executive Education programs per calendar year for global profit and non-profit organizations and individual employees- Define and communicate work standards and performance expectations to a team of program coordinators, managing workflow and professional development while providing ongoing feedback- Track and manage program budget and enrollment- Establish and maintain relationships with faculty, external clients, and portfolio directors, disseminating appropriate updates and managing scope of delivery- Serve as escalation point for all external client and participant concerns as well as crisis management for medical, weather and other emergency situations

- Responsible for the logistics of the delivery of all class exercises for the first year required course “Field Immersive Experiences in Leadership Development” (FIELD), a unique and innovative curriculum designed to complement the standard, case-based classroom environment through experiential education- Developed master plan for all classes, delegating work to a team of four full time employees, and up to 20 support staff from across the School- Created reports to support faculty grading, running basic analytics of quantitative data for a class of 938 students- Maintained comprehensive knowledge base of class logistics and planning

- Assisted in the development, analysis and delivery of an event strategy to promote a sense of community and inclusion among MBA students and their significant others- Served as primary point of contact for a variety of student leaders, including SA Chief Community Officers, Section Social Representatives, Partners’ Club and Crimson Parents club co-presidents, Section Service Reps, and others, when appropriate- Leadership role in Commencement Week planning and delivery, which included the management of the online Commencement checklist; ticket distribution; recruitment and training of over 100 volunteers; creation of student-facing communications regarding the week- Co-project manager for the first-ever development of two mobile applications: Thrive@HBS, designed to make safety and mental health resources more accessible to students; and Gather, a tool for meeting like-minded classmates and scheduling meet-ups and outings- Managed incoming student welcome events- Led departmental approach to Partners Program, a set of benefits and services available to students’ significant others, managing the registration and documentation process, enhancing benefits, and enhancing the programming strategy- Managed the Dean’s Breakfast series of events- Liaised with Admissions to schedule, plan and deliver joint degree student programming

- Taught Communications 101, Intro to Mass Communication, and Communications 105, Public Speaking- Classes taught online only, via Blackboard

- Coordinated monthly electronic newsletter in order to communicate complex research findings to diverse audiences, including senior level executives, foundations and members of the media- Contributed to the comprehensive process of a complete website redesign- Managed orientation services for new members- Participated in departmental goal-setting and implemented an aggressive membership retention strategy, leading to record-setting retention rates of 90% by the end of the first quarter for 2009- Planned and coordinated two annual events – Annual Member Meeting and Innovators in Health Awards Ceremony – with attendance of over 300 and budget of $15,000 for each - Configured and implemented organization-wide database conversion to integrate all functional departments and increase efficiency and accuracy (The Raiser’s Edge)- Researched organizations for prospective member pipeline and drafted materials for senior level pitch meetings, leading to record-setting $133,000 in new members for 2009 calendar year

- Interfaced with interested and active applicants through email, phone, online chats, open houses and group and individual interviews- Advised applicants on issues related to transfer and international credits, graduate school prerequisites, degree requirements, financial aid, housing, career opportunities and more- Drafted marketing materials as graduate degree program underwent curriculum revitalization - Developed communication plan that included monthly emails to accepted students, program student spotlights and alumni statistical reporting in order to increase the program’s yield- Processed application materials and credentials using online database (WALDO)
