• Lead the E-Commerce team in developing and implementing annual strategy in support of key objectives, in consultation with internal & external partners• Provide strategic insights to HQ of Global Affairs Canada’s (GoC) on global strategy for E-Commerce, highlighting the importance of China market• Develop & maintain the KA relationship in the e-commerce market, in particular Alibaba Group, and expand the local stakeholder network from government, industry to third-party partners in East China• Manage the E-Commerce team in setting up team targets; planning, executing & reporting on sector focused and cross sectoral initiatives in support of organization & client’s interest; and delivering client facing services• Identify market opportunities in consumer products and tourism files; coordinate with Canadian stakeholders to leverage such opportunities to build upon Canada’ industrial capabilities & strengths

• Canada’s participation in the first ever China International Import Expo (CIIE), as one of the 12 Countries of Honour• The project included an active schedule of activities at the national pavilion, highlighted by ministerial level visits from both Canada and China. • Canada’s participation in CIIE 2018 was marked by impressive trade deals, throngs of visitors to the country pavilion, extensive media exposure and expanded networks of business relationships. • The project facilitated signing of 45+ commercial contracts & agreements with significant dollar value.
