I am currently team-teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at one middle school and four elementary schools in Akita, Japan. I collaborate with English and homeroom teachers to plan and implement English lessons, classroom materials, and classroom management. All the while, I am encouraging cultural exchange through interactions and American culture-focused lessons in the classroom. I have experience teaching in both traditional and special needs classrooms. Outside of the classroom, I assist with correcting student work, act as an advisor for English speech contest students, prepare students for the Eiken exam (national English proficiency test), and volunteer at English camps hosted by my city's board of education.
