Deputy Director Of Communications
Current• Oversee, supervise and mentor the Museum's Marketing, Membership, Web and Digital Media, and Creative Services departments.• Serve as acting director in the Museum Director's absence.• Develop, oversee and implement communications initiatives, plan long-range strategy and departmental budgets.• Develop content and manage editorial projects as Editor-in-Chief of the Museum's member magazine and other publications, including the organization’s annual report.• Represent the Museum as spokesperson in media interviews and at presentations, conferences, meetings, and events.• Initiate, implement and foster ongoing partnerships and sponsorships with community organizations, media outlets and tourism industry representatives; with Museum Director and Agency Attorney, develop and review agreement documents, contracts and policies.• Write, develop, review and edit content for a wide range of media, including web content, print publications and collateral, social media posts, email newsletters, graphic identities and designs, prospectuses, partnership agreements, and policy documents.• Review and contribute to the Museum's overall interpretive strategy, including initial plans, ongoing updates, benchmarking, and evaluation.• Member of the Museum's Engagement, Advocacy and Accessibility Committee and The State Agency Council.
