About Emily B. Allison
As a civil defense lawyer, I know that my clients don't choose to be sued. A lawsuit is stressful, time consuming, and can be costly. I take pride in putting in the work my clients need to investigate and build a strong defense so we can secure the best outcome possible. Every case is important to me and I enjoy the challenge no matter the issues or complexity. Equally necessary is maintaining professionalism and credibility with opposing counsel, which encourages cooperation in discovery and productivity in negotiations. In my current practice, I handle general liability, premises liability, insurance defense, and personal injury claims. I also have experience defending employment discrimination, medical malpractice, class actions, Section 1983 claims, and administrative law matters. I have plaintiff's-side experience in environmental litigation, Covid-19 litigation, and regulatory enforcement. I strive to reflect positively on the bar and my profession. During the academic year, I frequently coach mock trial teams at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law under head coach Circuit Judge David C. Mason. I also sing in a local chamber choir, support animal rescue charities, and am an advocate for native landscaping and pollinator habitat cultivation. I enjoy making new and interesting connections on LinkedIn, so please feel free to say hello.
