I had the joy of watching her grow from a 360 Management trainee who worked alongside our president, to an effective leader of a region and team of her own. I am still impressed by how quickly and confidently Emily took to unchartered territory – exploring new methods for growing the exchange program, while simultaneously improving program quality. While she is a strategic thinker, what makes her stand out is her ability to connect with people and gain the trust of her team, even in a fast-paced environment. Emily is an authentic leader who focuses on developing others. For example, she leveraged the unique skills of veteran coordinators on her team and developed structured training opportunities for them to impart their successes and skills with others. This was both a method for growing capacity in her region, as well as a source of motivation for her team.
