Emily is an experienced university lecturer, pioneer in the delivery of higher education through documentary film, and Associate Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy for the professional standards framework in teaching and supporting learning for higher education. As well as producing many of Time for Geography's award-winning videos, Emily oversees activities with Time for Geography partners and support for the continued professional development of geography teachers.

I had the privilege of working for PDR's Surgical and Prosthetic Design team.On a daily basis I would process individual patients CT scans on Mimics and generate models, from existing anatomical models, through to reconstructing head and neck models using Freeform CAD software.An example of this would be a cranioplasty (hole in the skull) reconstruction:Existing CT scan taken into Mimics, the data is then exported and then used in Freeform which has a haptic feedback arm where the skull defect is then corrected and either manufactured on the SLA 250 3d printer for lab models- the maxillofacial technician then presses a titanium plate on the model that would then be used as the implant for surgery. The other process would be designing the implant in Freeform for it then to be 3d printed in titanium metal and used in surgery.One of the best projects I worked on was with Trauma Simulation Ltd for the Ministry of Defence, designing and making phase 1 of a trauma simulation model from the belly button down.This model has full anatomically correct limbs with a working blood circulation- the purpose of the model is to train medics in the armed forces how to perform certain procedures, for example, a shunt in the thigh, applying a tourniquet correctly as well as assessing multiple wounds and knowing and treating the most severe of them. I put well over 200 hours of work into this project and it is one of my pride and joys. Attachements and reports to be attached at a later date.

I worked as a model maker at KD as my 3rd year of University's Year in Industry.I worked on various projects, including the production of a unit for the Ministry of Defense, the 1:10 scale models of the land speed record car Bloodhound and developing skills in vacuum casting, vacuum forming and spray painting.
