Thinking about the big picture and finding solutions to tough problems gets me out of bed every day.I foster my natural curiosity through my Research Fellow position within the School of Humanities at the University of Adelaide. Using creative and qualitative methods, and drawing on my own lived experience as a farm business owner, I research agri-CULTURE, understanding the social and ethical aspects of agriculture, food and science. I enjoy working with Australian and international colleagues from universities such as Australian National University and The University of Nottingham, and industry partners from across the agricultural sector. In the midst of my professional interests, my spirit thrives in my rural life, adding “little-f farmer” and "mother" to the many hats that I wear, overseeing a mixed farming business with my husband and “mini farmer” in South Australia's mid north. While I know I can't "do it all", I attempt to balance my academic pursuits and the joys and challenges of farming and motherhood, and I hope to be an example of what it means to be dedicated, innovative and grounded in practicality. I am ALWAYS open to exploring opportunities that foster my love for agriculture, people and communication. So be bold and get in touch!
