The Honey Bee Tree is a small family business in Leesport, PA. We raise honey bees, capture wild swarms, harvest honey & participate in educational events in the community. Additionally we maintain a Facebook business page with year-round posts on topics related to bees, butterfly rearing, pollinator gardening, composting & more. Our company hopes to raise awareness of the importance of honey bees and the impact changes in the bee population could have on the sustainability of food production across the world. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) advocates in court for the best interests of children in the foster care system as a result of abuse or neglect. CASAs complete a training program, maintain continuing education requirements, are sworn into duty by a judge in Berks County Courts & have the power, granted by the judge, to review any and all documents pertaining to the child, such as medical records, caseworker records, school records, etc. CASAs are a constant figure in the children's lives, meeting with them 1-2 times a month, recognizing any unmet needs they may have and connecting them to the proper resources. CASAs attend all court proceedings with the children as well and submit reports to decision making parties.
