My duties as Volunteer Program Coordinator at Infant Crisis Services include on-boarding new weekly volunteers for various roles, such as Client Intake Specialists, Playroom Attendants, and Warehouse Volunteers. I am responsible for contacting volunteer applicants, setting up a tour and interview date, and giving them a tour through our facility and interviewing them for the volunteer position they have applied for. I am also responsible for planning and presenting volunteer luncheons where we discuss different topics, such as communication skills, child development, etc. I meet with the volunteers before their shifts to discuss any updates and reminders and answer questions they may have.
