Emily is a Filipino-American lighting designer and technician for live entertainment. She is a recent graduate from Montclair State University, holding a BFA in Theater Production & Design with a focus in Lighting Design & Technology. She has worked on multiple shows in positions ranging from electrician to lighting designer. Some of her recent design credits include The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Mile Square Theatre), A Chorus Line (High Tech High School), Carmina Burana: Masterworks Highlights (Montclair State University), Head Over Heels (Montclair State University), Elephant and Blue/Orange (Stella Adler Studio of Acting).Emily is constantly looking for new skills to learn. She strives to always be curious and ask questions to deepen her understanding of anything that she is working on. She aims to motivate the individuals around her to create an engaging and enjoyable environment.Though her main focus is lighting design for theatre, dance and other live performance, Emily has many other passions and hobbies that include different aspects of the performing and visual arts. Some of which include dance/choreography, playing the guitar, singing/songwriting, photography, and crocheting/crafting.
