I am exploring the world of AI Engineering summer 2023. Delving into this new technology of machine learning is certainly an exciting opportunity to solve problems. Especially exploring how AI will fit into the educational scope to help students as well as instructors.Another speciality that I enjoy exploring is the Developer Experience (DX) Role; creating and improving internal communications for all engineers. My goal in this role is to make sure engineers have the right tools, processes, and environment to be productive and successful. My most recent contract in this role was as a contractor with Dark Matter Consulting (Eugene, OR). One of the most successful roles I had in DX was utilizing a private instance of Stack Overflow Enterprise for a local large international technology company.I founded Eugene Women in Tech in 2017. EWIT is a community for women in tech in Lane County. I am a dedicated Program Director who strives to create an open and constructive dialogue. Specifically, our community offers monthly social events and mentoring opportunities; interactive community projects; local partnerships and educational programs. I am invested in local tech as a community partner where I am passionate about early STEM education for our local youth in the 4J School District and teach programming and computer software in the afterschool program. As a result of this passion, I describe myself as a collaborative technologist with a unique background and cross-over skill set.
