Emily entered the real estate industry because she wanted to make a difference in, and have an impact on, people’s lives. She craves human connection. She wears her heart on her sleeve and gives everything she does everything she has. Emily’s philosophy is that if you do business the right way, the business will continue to come. She believes that this tenant of authenticity is what has earned her a 99% referral clientele. After seven years in the industry she rose to the top 0.15% (ranking #33 out of nearly 14,000 agents in 2022) in the Portland metro area. More importantly though, she has built meaningful and lasting relationships along the way. Emily is a Bay Area native, growing up partly in Santa Cruz, California, where she watched her grandfather (and her father) run a successful sporting goods chain. Being immersed in the trenches of the family business caused her to quickly learn that fortune favors the bold. And, that if you are going to own your own business, you have to find your grit to earn your place. At the age of 13 Emily’s family moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon for a change of pace and scenery. She graduated from Riverdale High School in 2003 (go Mavericks!) and went on to work her first commission-based sales job; selling women’s shoes at Nordstrom. It was there that she got a crash course in sales and a graduate-level education in customer service, quickly rising to the top 10% of salespeople in the company (at no surprise to those who knew her).Emily launched her brokerage, Hustle & Heart Homes in September of 2022, whereas her mom likes to say, “She gets to use her powers for good”. She is personally compassionate and unapologetically relentless. She works hard for her clients, leads from the heart for her team, and finds great satisfaction in mentoring other agents. In her spare time, you can find Emily traveling both near and far with her husband Christian and their two sons, Ben (13) and Ethan (10). She also loves to entertain family and friends in their secluded little lake house in Sherwood, where her wine fridge is as full as the gratitude she feels in her heart to live there.
