Emily G. Coughlin, Esq. Emily is a founding partner of the firm of Coughlin Betke LLP. She is also currently President of DRI, the world's largest civil defense organization of lawyers representing business. Emily previously served in other Officer positions of DRI and on its Board of Directors. Recently, Emily was named a Top Women of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. In 2017, Emily was named the Massachusetts Defense Lawyer of the Year by the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (MassDLA). She also served as Faculty of the 2015 International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy at Stanford University. Previously, Emily was also President of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association and on its Board of Directors and held various officers positions since 2002. She tries cases and handles appeals in all State and Federal Courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
