My husband Corey and I are an advertising photography team specializing in lifestyle, portrait, industrial, food, and drink photography. We operate out of our 2400 sq ft studio in Chattanooga, Tennessee.We have a really good time. Chattanooga's the bee's knees. We shoot all over the country, have had amazing opportunities, and we put our heart into everything.

Personal and work assistant to stunt coordinator and director Lin Oeding. Lin's one of the coolest people I'll ever know. We were around a lot of stunt people during rehearsals. He showed me the film industry, how to be a good boss, and taught me about figuring who you can trust or not trust, earning respect from your peers, and the importance of visualizing the future. No jokes here, just mad respect.

I've worked as a camera operator, Director of Photography, 1st or 2nd AC, electrician, producer, 1st or 2nd AD, PA, and in production positions.One college summer, Corey and I were 1st and 2nd AD on an indie film. We built the base for a solid Full Throttle energy drink addiction, sweat like no one was watching, and blew through all of Pawn Stars and American Pickers.Corey and I worked as camera operators on a cool show called Fangoria's Blood and Guts with Scott Ian about the making of practical horror props and effects. We visited zombies, saw someone making a brain, and were eaten by an alligator.My college side hustle was working as a Production Assistant on reality shows. In Georgia, I worked on Toddlers & Tiaras (oh, the stories), Homecoming with Billy Ray Cyrus, and something about a decadent wedding in a haunted Savannah manor. I spent one college summer in Los Angeles as a PA for a reality show in the fashion district.What happened as a reality show PA? Someone tried to sell me Tom Cruise's foot, I once ordered 22 unique fancy coffees, a pageant girl showed me her "flippers" (fake teeth) and told me she had to keep them away from her brother's pig, the 1st time I drove in LA someone tossed me the keys to a 15-passenger van and told me to drive a van full of people from Burbank to downtown LA, I was yelled at about Diet Coke, I was screamed at by a pageant mom, and I was given an actual free iPad.Yes, I've met a lot celebrities. Most of them also buy cheese at the grocery store.

I spent the summer before my wedding coming up with activities for youth and learning the ukulele. Trip to Blizzard Beach, a lockout (all night adventure in the 904 with a bus full of sugar-hopped pre-teens), Lord of the Rings Marathons, mission trips, eating worms and the like.

Video czar for The District: SCAD's student news. "Make videos" was my job. I learned 3 important things: be a self-starter, how to properly export, and you can get in almost anywhere if you have a badge and a polo shirt.

I worked as a studio intern for a small studio in North Hollywood. Worked on a music video for David Hasselhoff's daughters, who were big pop stars in Germany. Edited some podcasts. Played with the studio dog Peanut a lot.

In high school, I freelanced making PSA's, news mini-documentaries, and other videos for the St. John's Riverkeeper. Said, "This is Emily Van Horn with the St. John's Riverkeeper" 5,672 times on camera. We found 600 ways to film water, dirt, and shells. The crabs got me. The alligators did not.

Team Gaia was a teen based environmental and educational documentary production company. It was my first studio job. I'm thinking now it was a secret way to get us hip teens to "eat right" and "have a healthy body image."
