I moved to Uruguay in 2013 after completing my TEFL in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I started working for various institutes in Montevideo, and gained a lot of valuable teaching experience. I have since started taking on private students and clients, and have started my own project teaching conversation groups in various bars and restaurants around the city.I started SmallTalk in January, 2015 which is an open, conversation-based class held in different bars and fun locations throughout Montevideo. The aim was to provide fun and informative classes with experienced, native teachers in a relaxed, real-world environment. Through SmallTalk, I then started taking on international companies in Uruguay as clients. I work with them providing classes for the owners and employees, helping them improve communication with international clients, and translating and editing documents, company websites, and other web content. Currently I enjoy splitting my time between teaching English and doing translations and editing for various clients.
