Emily serves as the CEO and a Data Scientist at Knowli, a women-owned research firm based in Tallahassee, FL. Knowli empowers leaders in health and education with data-driven decision support. She is a classically trained soprano with international concert experience.In 2010, Emily received a Fulbright Fellowship to Lithuania in ethnomusicology and opera performance, subsequently earning Smith-Mundt and Fulbright-Hays grants for her continued social justice education work in Eastern Europe. In 2012, Emily earned a fellowship to study at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, Hungary, serving as the President of the CEU Student Union while continuing her academic research. In 2013, Emily returned to the US to serve as an AmeriCorps Massachusetts Promise Fellow, developing and implementing college and career programming for teens in Boston's South End. Her interest in education brought her to Florida State University, where she served as the Assistant Director of the Office of National Fellowships (2014-2016) and as the Student Outcomes Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research (2016-2018). Emily joined the Knowli Team in 2018 as a Tableau developer serving Florida Medicaid.Emily is a co-founder of Beyond The Pantry (BTP), a Tallahassee-based non-profit that sources and shares basic-needs items for housing-, food-, and basic-needs insecure members of the Leon County community. Since its inauguration in 2021, BTP has distributed $30k+ of basic needs items through partnerships with 15+ organizations, earning Third Place in the 2021 #GiveTLH microgrant competition through the Beatitude Foundation and grant funding from the Community Foundation of North Florida in Spring 2024.
