Instructor for Public Relations Writing Course

I provide a variety of executive-level, internal and campaign-specific writing and content management services for select Jackson Spalding clients, which have included AT&T, Delta Air Lines, The Coca-Cola Company, Moët Hennessy USA, Maxwell Leadership, and Ballad Health. My most recent projects have included the following types of support: executive communications (talking points, bylines, high-stakes announcements, etc.), internal communication, media relations support (press releases, op-eds), key messaging, content strategy and communications calendars, policy editing, and campaign content.

In my most recent role at Cortland, I led brand and marketing communications, targeting primarily external audiences, which included prospective and existing residents, investors, and the media. Responsibilities and achievements included the following:- Served as the strategic communications partner across the organization, including marketing, investments, operations, technology, talent, and executive leadership to develop and deploy messaging to multi-tiered audiences that reflected the company’s mission, values, and culture, as well as navigated the complexities of a rapidly growing business and brand -Served as the primary ghostwriter for the CEO; developed executive messaging including speeches, talking points, presentations, investor pitches, and internal communications for members of the executive team- Partnered with agencies and in-house creative teams to develop compelling brand campaigns and drive awareness in its key markets- Developed and led brand repositioning communication efforts, including refreshed messaging, voice/tone, brand standards, and roll-out communications, both internal and external- Managed integrated resident communication and social media content strategies across channels to drive audience engagement and support all resident-experience initiatives and reputation/crisis communication needs- Oversaw the PR agency relationship in driving the implementation of all US-based PR campaigns and activity including formulation, implementation, evaluation, budgets, and media training for spokespersons- Spearheaded crisis communications for the company, managing the company’s response to all levels of incidents / crisis events- Worked closely with internal communications team to ensure consistent adoption of brand language and standards across associate communications, training, tool kits, etc.
