I started Ghost Pepper Consulting, LLC (GPC) in 2022 to follow my passion to research, learn, and assist companies with the application of accounting principles.Prior to starting GPC, I spent six years in public accounting, where I was part of the National Office and specialized in lease accounting as well as accounting for complex debt and equity financing transactions. My industry experience includes working with companies in the consumer products, healthcare, airline, agriculture, non-profit, governmental, and technology sectors.In addition to National Office work, I provided audit and consulting services. Part of these services included assisting management with understanding and implementing effective internal controls. Over my career, I have co-written several comment letters to the FASB as well as co-published several articles on accounting for leases under the new standard (ASC 842).I also design and provide trainings on accounting standards and practices. My presentation style aims to break down seemingly complex accounting terminology and walk through the basics to give individuals a practical working knowledge of new and current accounting pronouncements.I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where I completed a double major in accounting and finance. Some of my favorite college activities included:- Actively managing seven stock portfolios for student scholarships, - Participating in the Viessmann Academy Seminar in Allendorf, Germany to study international accounting practices, and - Tutoring students in accounting courses.After college, I passed all four sections of the CPA exam with a cumulative score of 95.25.
