[Senior Lecturer, 2021-present; Lecturer, 2015-2021; Visiting Lecturer, 2014-2015]COMPASS 1: This course focuses on the development of individual self-awareness that helps students make thoughtful, deliberate, and rewarding decisions about academic and professional goals, as well as helps students discover, articulate, and market their professional brand. - Guide 300 students per semester through the self-discovery process, matching their values, interests, personality, and skills with the best career fit- Instill the importance of developing a personal brand and provide instruction on strategies to market their brand for professional advancementCOMPASS 2: Students explore how their personal brand from Compass 1 interacts within a team setting and learn how to become a more effective team member through team dynamics and inclusion while developing career marketing tools. HOT TOPICS: This course provides students the opportunity to explore the connection between outside interests and business. - Developed an eight-week curriculum and taught 24 students about animal welfare with a focus on building awareness, educating others, and creating an action plan- Created syllabus, lesson plans, lectures, class activities, and assignments to teach students about the industries in which animals are used for profit and how to sustainably use animals in a more humane wayBUSINESS PRESENTATIONS: Students are introduced to oral communication in business contexts. The course focus is on theory-based skill development that will enable students to deliver audience-centered messages, work in teams, and analyze and develop oral arguments.- Guided 24 Kelley Direct Admit students through theory-based skill development, overcoming speech anxiety, audience-centeredness, and the power of persuasive arguments- Developed syllabus, lesson plans, lectures, class activities, and assignments to teach students the fundamentals of verbal communication in a business environment

The Kelley Office of Diversity Initiatives (KODI) provides broad-based support, programs, services, and resources to prospective and current Kelley School of Business students from historically underrepresented groups.- Rejuvenated the retention efforts of the Kelley School’s undergraduate student of color population by intentionally creating an environment for students to feel welcomed and affirmed; provided targeted programs, services, and support to approximately 600 students from historically underrepresented populations and their allies- Planned and implemented 50+ programs annually for students, faculty, staff, and corporate partners that provide professional development, networking, and workshops designed to expand awareness and encourage self-discovery- Regularly met with students to provide counseling on refining their areas of interest and developing an action plan for achieving personal and professional goals- Created the Kelley Office of Diversity Initiatives Student Advisory Board, comprised of 12 undergraduates who provide programs reflective of their peers’ needs; coached students on developing and enhancing leadership skills- Managed the Fry Scholars Program, a fully funded scholarship for high achieving students of color; developed a mentoring program; provided opportunities for the recipients to build community and develop their personal brand- Provided oversight to four KODI student organizations and independently developed successful Officer Transition Workshop held annually for newly elected executive board members thereby increasing organization effectiveness- Supervised one to two professional staff members and one to three graduate assistants; responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating each staff member

Advisors in the Kelley School of Business Undergraduate Academic Advising Office conduct one-on-one meetings with current Business students and Business-intended students, interpreting their strengths and interests to create academic plans best suited to achieve success within Kelley.- Key member of a 14-person advising team guiding approximately 4500 students in their academic endeavors- Interpreted students’ strengths and interests to create academic plans best suited to achieve success within Kelley- Served as one of two primary advisors for underrepresented students, presenting on Kelley opportunities in Education U212 to Hudson & Holland Scholars, and the Groups Scholars summer seminar- Advisor for international students requiring knowledge of J-1, F-1, and H1B visas as well as comprehensive authorization forms allowing students to obtain work experience, internships, and financial aid- Coordinated exchange program with City University of Hong Kong and served as primary contact for students prior to their arrival and during their exchange, providing preventative measures for reducing culture shock

Career Advisors in the School of Education serve current students and alumni by critiquing cover letters, teaching applications, resumes, and mock interviews. They are also responsible for teaching EDUC-M 202: Job Search Strategies for Educators.- Taught Education M202, an 8-week undergraduate course of 30-50 students per semester- Covered topics including interviewing skills, resume writing, and job searching strategies- Educated students and alumni by critiquing cover letters, teaching applications, resumes, and mock interviews- Spearheaded resume and interview workshops twice a year and additional presentations as they arose
