My name is Emily and I am currently a Senior at Utica University majoring in Criminal Justice as well as minoring in Psychology. For work, I am a New York State Department of Education certified Teaching Assistant with Madison-Oneida BOCES. I find that as a Teaching Assistant, I am learning just as much as the students are learning. I have learned to de-escalate situations while utilizing the positive relationship created with the students. I have also gained the ability to work with students and try to help them according to the ways they will learn the most successfully.
