I am a keen student of the Univeristy of Liverpool Life Sciences faculty, embarking on an academic journey to obtain knowledge, skills and experience within the field of biology, to kickstart my prospective career. Following graduating, my goal is to become a Marine Biologist and to follow my passion into a role I feel challenges and excites me. I am, therefore, actively open to the vast opportunties the industry has to offer, in terms of placements, volunteering and shadowing, to gain greatly indispensable experience.Undertaking Biology at A level, Diploma level and currently Bachelor level I have aquired vital technical and practical biological skills. Having considerable experience within a lab, I feel confident in performing experiments at a molecular and microscopic level to a high degree of accuracy, and in analysing and presenting relevant results to use in scientific reports. A field trip to Braunton Burrows, involved using quadrats and transects to measure the abundance and distribution of organisms across the sand dunes. From this I acquired sampling skills which I was able to further demonstrate in later practical field days.I'm excited to engage in a variety of fields in biology before turning my current passion into my career.
