Hey there! I'm Emily. I'm a Ph.D. candidate at the University of San Diego (USD) within the Education for Social Justice program. I graduated with my M.Ed in TESOL, Literacy, and Culture from USD in 2015 and have been working as an adjunct professor at USD, Southwestern College, and MiraCosta College ever since. I am a current board member and the former executive director of Trek to Teach, which is an education-based nonprofit that sends English teachers to rural Himalayan villages. I also volunteer as a crisis counselor for the Crisis Textline (although not as much as I would like).While my education and experience are listed below, there is much more to a person than filling out boxes with prescribed answers.
