As strategic communications team lead, I am responsible for coordinating internal and external communications for five major university extension and research programs - Center for Land Use Efficiency, Florida Master Gardener Volunteer Program, Florida-Friendly Landscaping, Agricultural Best Management Practices, and Gardening Solutions. I also directly support the center director through executive assistant functions and administrative support. I lead a communications team consisting of three direct report employees who support 25 center faculty and 17 affiliate faculty. The communications team also creates and manages content for a 1,000+ page website on Florida gardening. Our team has focused on making scientific information more accessible to readers by using tools to improve writing levels and messaging. I'm also team lead for all in-person and virtual events including hosting three monthly webinar series reaching more than 23,000 live attendees in 2021, two large in-person conferences, and multiple other hybrid events.

Led the center's communication from it's establishment in 2006. Produced a daily radio show, a gardening television show, and created a large website repository of gardening information. Led the center in being one of the first at UF to try social media in 2007.

Manage online classes and assist faculty with digital class development

Develop training curriculum for Publix store departments including front end, grocery, deli, meats, produce, and bakery.
