During tax season, when others were bemoaning the tedious preparation process, I was happily gathering my records, creating spreadsheets, and analyzing the previous year’s performance. My time in social services was marked by extensive research and data analysis, recognizing trends and correlating them to real world factors for the good of the population. The ability to pull data sets, identify trends and verify statistics was just plain fun.Shifting more fully into a career based on this activity, I have deeply enjoyed the opportunity to expand my skills through ongoing education and hands-on application. Additionally, I enjoy communicating my findings, and translating technical information for non-technical audiences. Detailed, accurate record-keeping and analysis is vital for informed decision-making by leadership, and I am thrilled to play a role in that process.
