After working on a redesign of our data entry system while in CST, I moved into full time Product Development. My role includes:- Research and planning of new features or types of analysis- Working alongside our Engineering and QA teams to guide development and asnwer any questions that might arise- Analysis of school results submitted and national data. Building a picture of shifts in progress and attainment for our schools and nationally, to allow my colleagues to support our users in the interpretation of their results. This has been particularly important over the last three years, in the wake of the Covid-19 disruption.- Answering questions from colleagues on all aspects of our system: methodology, our analysis and data entry system, and internal systems.After KS2 SATs were cancelled during the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority of our KS4 users would have no standard prior attainment score from which to measure their students' progress. This posed a threat to our KS4 business. Alongside the alternative prior attainment options I had worked on previously, I developed a modelling methodology to allow schools to estimate a prior attainment band for each of their students, allowing the use of our value-add system.

I worked closely with clients and colleagues; designing features with our Software Team, assisting clients to enter their data and interrogate results using our analysis tools, and providing support on all aspects of our internal and external applications to colleagues.- Using R to model alternative input scores for value-add measures, opening International markets.- Developed and delivered a training programme to colleagues to prepare the company for our busiest and most important time of year.- Leading a project to develop a dedicated analysis system for Group/MAT Leaders.- User acceptance testing of our software.- Presentations and technical training sessions for clients.- Writing user guides.- Recording webinars for clients.- Answering client queries via email and phone.- Investigating reported software bugs.- Managing software pilots as part of the development cycle.- Participating in interdepartmental client communication strategy/planning meetings.

Odzala-Kokoua National Park

I worked as a research assistant at Ngaga Research station, supervised by Dr Magda Bermejo. This experience gave an insight into how tourism and research can work together for conservation, and some of the challenges of doing so.- Managed a camera trap study to investigate, amongst other things, Gorilla movement patterns and social networks. This was the main component of my work.- Contributed to discussions of research and research focus of the station- Tracked the habituated gorilla focal groups to gain detailed movement and feeding data, approaching the group when found- Worked in French with the local trackers

Developed a pre-event, all-hazard risk assessment methodology to help resource prioritisation on a sub-national, seasonal level in a clear and defensible way.
