During a virtual internship, I worked with GEHC's Life Care Solutions team to design a Business Insight dashboard for a patient monitoring product. In addition, I value-stream mapped cost-saving opportunities for the implementation of the product and trained marketing and sales team members in the space. I also had the opportunity to participate in a GE-wide social impact competition where my team placed 1st out of 25 other teams from across the business!

My research was focused on insecticide resistance in mosquitoes that carry dengue and Zika. The goal of my work was to guide the Ministry of Health and policy that improves the effectiveness of insecticides, thereby reducing dengue and Zika infection. During my study abroad semester in London, UK, I interned at ResPublica, a leading non-partisan think tank and consultancy based in Westminster. My work included two projects: creating policy recommendations to improve the Health Safety Executive’s asbestos air monitoring standards in the UK and performing gap analysis of existing frameworks for cross-cultural communication for the British Council.
