At EMM Consulting, I am involved in large-scale renewable energy and critical resource projects which are assessed against State and Federal legislation. My practical experience includes the Queensland BioCondition monitoring methodology, targeted CEEVNT searches, fauna habitat surveys and Regional Ecosystem groundtruthing.

At the Quoll Society, we conduct research that is building upon our understanding of quoll populations, movement and threats to their survival. My involvement with the Quoll Society includes live trapping, nocturnal and camera trapping surveys. The majority of my work is focused around spotted-tailed quolls in the Southern Downs region where our research is guiding restoration of important quoll habitat.

My consulting experience at Natura Pacific included both ecological field surveys and office based tasks for a broad range of projects in SEQ. I have practical experience in the leadership of flora and fauna surveys, nest box installation and monitoring, transect monitoring methodologies, ecological assessments, rehabilitation planning and monitoring and environmental compliance on a variety of construction based projects. Alongside regular consulting duties, my Field Coordinator responsibilities included team resourcing, project management, client liaison, quoting and project delivery.

During my employment with Aldi, I have learnt that this is not "just a retail job". Within my various roles at Aldi I learnt how to be professional within a work environment and developed many important skills including:- Making well thought-out decisions by learning from experience to achieve business goals within a high stress and fast paced environment- Developed organisational and time management skills by proactively leading a team through the stores daily runnings whilst adhering to strict schedules- Improved my ability to professionally communicate with my team through active listening, offering constructive criticism and feedback and showing empathy when managing staff concerns and conflicts

My first taste of a management role started with my time at Salsa's. Some skills and experiences I gained in my role were:- Proved my perseverance through maintained composure and team motivation during high stress busy periods- The establishment of my interpersonal skills through managing, motivating and leading by example in a team environment - An understanding of business requirements and professionalism through monitoring monthly and weekly KPI’s such as sales, labour and COGS- Demonstrated responsibility through cash handling and daily bank deposits

Working at McDonalds helped set the groundwork for my professional career through daily challenges including handling customer complaints, working in a team environment, following company procedures and conducting myself in a safe and professional manner.
