Emily Hultquist is Principal at Emily Hultquist Consulting, LLC. She has worked with clients such as the Lincoln Institute for Land Policy and most recently the CT Age Well Collaborative. Prior to consulting, Emily was the Deputy Director of the Northwest Hills Council of Governments in Northwest, CT. As part of her duties at NHCOG, Ms. Hultquist manages the agency's Land Use and Economic Development activities and oversaw the region's role as an Economic Development District in the northwest corner of Connecticut. Ms. Hultquist also served as as Director of Policy and Planning/Community Development at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in Hartford, CT, an agency she worked at for 13 years. She has nearly 20 years of professional experience in land use, transportation planning, economic development and urban design in Connecticut. Ms Hultquist began her career as Associate Planner in the Connecticut office of the Regional Plan Association, the nation's oldest and most distinguished urban planning policy and advocacy group. Ms. Hultquist is a Past President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Planning Association. She holds an A.B. in Growth and Structure of Cities from Bryn Mawr College and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the 2018 Class of the Hartford Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Working Professionals in the Hartford Region.
