I am on the Development team at Ascencia with the task of raising funds for our invaluable homeless services and programs that serve 1,200 people experiencing homelessness every year. As we are expanding to more areas in L.A. County, our reach is growing, and so are our expenses. As Development Coordinator, I am responsible for supporting the Director of Development in raising upwards of $1M to fund Ascencia's great work in our communities. I accomplish this by maintaining relationships with donors and supporters, managing fundraising campaigns, and coordinating our annual Gala, which has raised over $330K in each of the three events I've worked on. In addition, I manage marketing strategies, from social media, to web design, to email newsletters, to mail drops, and I supervise our Marketing and Digital Media VISTA. I also work with the Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator to bring Volunteers and In-Kind donations to help Ascencia and our clients.
