After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota, my interest in working with children brought me to the position as a Lead Teacher at Children's World Learning Center. During my time teaching, I found that reading to children and introducing them to the world of books was by far my favorite part of my role as a preschool teacher. Before I knew it, I was enrolling in graduate school to become a youth services librarian. I am interested in creating and leading children and teen programming that is suitable for the youth in the area in which I serve. I feel strongly that the public library is an invaluable resource in our communities and during my career I will remain an advocate, helping to assure that this resource will continue to flourish.
