About Emily Jane Wheeldon

Graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1999, moved back to my home town of Nottingham (UK) and began my career in recruitment with Barker Ross Limited. I specialised in recruiting in the office support area and in 2003 moved into management being promoted from Consultant to Team Leader then Divisional Manager and by 2004 I was the Area Manager of the Nottingham, Leicester and Milton Keynes operation.2006 I moved to Sydney, Australia to continue my career in recruitment and gain international exposure. I joined Beaumont People as Branch Manager where I was tasked with recruiting talent to businesses across various industries, as well as managing the CBD branch and its staff.After starting a family in 2011 and needing a more flexible working environment I joined Apex Resource Solutions, an IT Recruitment Agency as Operations Manager. I worked on various projects across recruitment, HR, Client Value Adds, internal process and procedure implementation, training and events.In 2013 I moved to Dunedin, New Zealand with my children and established Human Connections Group, a consultancy offering affordable Recruitment and HR solutions for small businesses. After many years of successful business operations and supporting SME'S, the affect of COVID-19 on our business forced a tough decision to close the organisation and focus on health, wellbeing, family & study.I am Regional Recruitment Manager for Talent Right supporting SME community members with their recruitment needs along side my personal passion supporting Not for profit organisations and advocating Purposeful Work.
