As an educator, I make it my mission to empower ELLs to gain the English proficiency and intercultural skills needed to achieve their academic and personal goals while becoming bilingual/multilingual global citizens. Prior experience as an ESL instructor to adult refugees. After over 15 years as a higher education professional in international education and students services, as well as an adjunct professor (Intercultural Communication and Sociology), I obtained a MA TESOL from SIT to pursue my passion to teach. Fluent in French. Proficient in Spanish.Currently enrolled in the Rutgers GSE-Alternate Route program for career changers transitioning to teaching. This cohort-based program juxtaposes educational theory with practice through professional reflection on classroom management, instructional planning, NJ Student Learning Standards, diverse learning, assessment, and special populations. I hold a NJ Provisional Certificate of Eligibility in TESOL and will receive a Standard TESOL endorsement.
