I am a dedicated and motivated sophomore at Northeastern University, pursuing a PlusOne Master's degree in Cybersecurity. With a strong passion for the security aspect of computer science, I am committed to gaining a deep understanding of the field and developing the skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in protecting digital assets from ever-evolving cyber threats.Throughout my academic journey, I have gained a solid foundation in key cybersecurity concepts and practices. Courses like Systems Security, Foundations of Information Assurance, and Information System Forensics have equipped me with knowledge of secure systems design, threat detection, and incident response. I have applied this knowledge in developing secure applications, such as an FTP client that implements secure communication channels and complies with protocol standards.As a hands-on learner, I have actively sought opportunities to strengthen my technical skills and gain practical experience. Through projects like creating a UDP host discovery tool and building a basic Unix shell, I have honed my programming abilities in Python and C, as well as my familiarity with network protocols and system-level programming.Beyond the classroom, I have taken on leadership roles to further develop my skills and contribute to the cybersecurity community. As a Teaching Assistant for Foundations of Cybersecurity, I gained valuable experience in mentoring students, collaborating with faculty, and adapting to new tools and processes. Additionally, my involvement as a mentor with the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers has allowed me to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for aspiring professionals.I am particularly drawn to the field of offensive security and network security, and am actively working towards earning the Security+ and CySA+ certifications to validate my knowledge and skills.
