Supporting a new cohort of mentors involved answering their questions and concerns, helping run events and admin work to support the Outreach team. This role improved my reflective and communication skills as it encouraged me to present my past experiences of mentoring to a group of students.

Higher responsibilities including opening and closing the café on my own, managing a team, and cashing up. Preparing food and hot drinks for customers during the busy summer months.

Mentoring year 10 students weekly in a Birmingham school. Supporting with exam management, work experience and providing information regarding higher education

Working in the public sector whilst learning technical information about optometry to meet the client's needs.

Working in a busy restaurant environment, serving customers and ensuring their expectations are met.
