As a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG), I support children, young people, and parents in schools with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. I provide evidence-based short-term interventions based on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and use routine outcome measures and goal based outcomes to monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness.I recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Children and Young People Psychological Wellbeing Practice at King's College London, where I gained theoretical knowledge and practical skills in delivering low-intensity CBT interventions for common mental health problems. I also hold a Master of Science (MSc) in Forensic Psychology and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology, both from the University of Portsmouth and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have previous experience as a clinical mental health support worker with children, adolescents, and adults, where I developed skills in risk assessment, observation, risk management and deescalation strategies. I am passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, and I aim to pursue further training and development in this field.
