I provide compassionate therapy with a mind-body focus. My approach to counseling is integrative and trauma-informed and considers the whole person: their story, their place in the world, their history, and their body-felt reality. I use Internal Family Systems therapy, mindfulness, attachment theory, somatic modalities, and an emotion-focused perspective to help clients access, realize, and take care of all their needs in a healing way. I believe my clients have extensive internal wisdom, and together, we can build from there.I am passionate about serving clients who are gender and sexual minorities, who feel themselves as different or outside of the mainstream, who engage in social advocacy and justice work, and who are creative and always question why things are the way they are. My own story includes extensive work in suicide prevention and intervention agencies, a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a BA in Creative Writing and International Human Rights, international peace keeping travel, a career as a professional nanny, many hours on the street as an activist for various causes, and a passion for writing hybrid works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
